Winter Training Program

Choose from a couple weeks to a couple months of intensive training for rider and horse at the beautiful Windhaven Farm. Windhaven Farm in located in Wadesboro, NC. With wonderful footing and rolling hills, you and your horse will get into show-shape in no time. There are dressage rings, a stadium course and a wide variety of XC jumps to tune up each phase of eventing. While the results will be intense, the atmosphere at the farm is friendly and the staff and other riders support each other.

This unique program is personal enough to provide individual attention for both horse and rider. Becky trains all horses herself, so your horse isn´t sent off with working students you don´t know. Becky personally monitors all horses on a daily basis.

Windhaven Farm sports large stalls with rubber mats,½ doors, wash racks, and three board pasture fencing. The farm is conveniently located just across the border of North and South Carolina providing easy access to shows and events in both states. Some of the closest show facilities include The Ark, The Fork and Southern Pines which are all within an hour of Windhaven Farm. From the Charlotte, NC airport, the farm is about an hour and one half drive time.

Working Students

Interested in being a working student? Becky mentors 2-3 working students throughout the program to assist and keep things running smoothly. Working students do just that, they work, and work hard, in exchange for lessons. Daily routines start at 7am with feeding, turnouts, stall cleaning, tacking up horses for Becky, cooling out after rides, cleaning tack, raking aisles, and in the evening they wind up chores about 6pm.
